Responsibilities

• Administers gadolinium contrast intravenously and screens for allergies and contraindications.
• Positions patient on the exam table and follows exam protocols.
• Enters data into the computer for MRI procedures.
• Communicates with patient to explain procedure and monitor safety.
• Keys commands to specify MRI scan sequences.
• Maintains and cleans work area and equipment.

Skills

ARRT or ARMRIT certification

BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Education

2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent
