Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide high-quality imaging under physician supervision. You will administer MRI contrast, review safety forms, and verify implants using vendor resources.

Maintain patient records and deliver clear explanations to patients about procedures. The ideal candidate has ARRT MR and 1 year x-ray experience with a focus on safety and accuracy, working in Norfolk, VA.

Qualifications

• ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certification required.
• ARRT MR certification is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year x-ray experience for cross training.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams per protocol and maintain quality images.

Overview

Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Duties may include but are not limited to: Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations. Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources. Acting as a liaison with physician and supportive care personnel. Maintaining patients records, reports, and files. performs patient MRI exams per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation. examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.24 - $61.82 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
