Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine MRI procedures and ensure patient safety across all ages at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, NC. The role requires ARRT MRI registration or MRI AS degree, with registration within one year of hire.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, reviewing orders, maintaining accurate billing records, and upholding Universal Precautions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT registration in MRI or MRI AS degree required.
• If not ARRT, provide ARRT MRI registry application documentation.
• MRI ARRT registration required within one year of hire.
• Failure to achieve MRI ARRT registration within one year may lead to termination.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine MRI procedures within the MRI Section of Radiology.
• Demonstrate competency in patient care for all ages and interact effectively.
• Assess and clear patients for MRI safety.
• Review physician orders and patient charts for accuracy and signatures.
• Prepare patients and address questions; refer to radiologist as needed.
• Enter procedure in computer system for billing and productivity.
• Maintain safe environment per infection control and Universal Precautions.
• Provide quality care and pursue continuous quality improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.
