Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Technologist Aide to support MRI procedures at Milford facilities. The role focuses on providing a professional, caring atmosphere for all patient groups and assisting the technical staff in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities include setting up the room, assisting with patient interviews, safety checks, and helping patients prepare for and complete exams, while ensuring proper paperwork and room readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties and lift up to 25 pounds.

• Assist Technologist in setting up the room and exam preparations.
• Assist in patient interviews and getting them ready for the exam.
• Help the patient on/off the table and to changing areas.
• Assist with data entry and stocking of exam rooms.

Week1: Thursday 7am-8pm at the CC; Friday 7am-8pm Milford Cancer Center MRI
Week 2: Thursday 7am-8pm at the CC; Friday 7am-330pm Milford Hospital MRI

Job Description:

What you will do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room.
  • Set up proper coil for exam
  • Ensure there is clean linen
  • Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup.
• Assist in the patient interview process.
  • Safety check list.
  • Symptoms and history.
  • Determine if prior exams.
  • Make sure patient is properly dressed for exam.
  • Explain procedure to patient.
  • Reassure the patient if anxious.
• Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam.
  • Aid the patient getting on table.
  • Ensure all safety devices are in place.
  • Help makes the patient comfortable.
• Assist technologist upon completion of exam.
  • Remove the patient from bore.
  • Remove all safety equipment.
• Aid the patient off the table and assist to changing area.
• Assist in checking that all paperwork is complete.
• Assist getting all prior paper work.
• Assist getting all prior pertinent exams.
• Assist in checking that prior exams are on the appropriate workstation.
• Assist with Tech Data Entry.
• Assist with the cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.

What you need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Additional Job Description:

The pay range for this position is $18/hr-$29/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
