Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a Technologist Aide to support imaging staff in a fast-paced medical environment. The role focuses on patient comfort, room preparation, and assisting the technologists during exams.

TheTechnologist Aide will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all patient groups while assisting technical staff. Responsibilities include setting up rooms, ensuring safety devices are in place, assisting with patient interviews and positioning, and helping with data

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room.
• Set up proper coil for exam.
• Ensure there is clean linen.
• Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup.
• Assist in the patient interview process.
• Safety check list.
• Explain procedure to patient.
• Reassure the patient if anxious.
• Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam.
• Aid the patient getting on table and off table.
• Check that all paperwork is complete and prior exams are available on workstation.
• Assist with Tech Data Entry and cleaning/stocking of exam rooms.

Job Description

What you will do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room.
• Set up proper coil for exam
• Ensure there is clean linen
• Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup.
• Assist in the patient interview process.
• Safety check list.
• Symptoms and history.
• Determine if prior exams.
• Make sure patient is properly dressed for exam.
• Explain procedure to patient.
• Reassure the patient if anxious.
• Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam.
• Aid the patient getting on table.
• Ensure all safety devices are in place.
• Help makes the patient comfortable.
• Assist technologist upon completion of exam.
• Remove the patient from bore.
• Remove all safety equipment.
• Aid the patient off the table and assist to changing area.
• Assist in checking that all paperwork is complete.
• Assist getting all prior paper work.
• Assist getting all prior pertinent exams.
• Assist in checking that prior exams are on the appropriate workstation.
• Assist with Tech Data Entry.
• Assist with the cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.

Additional Job Description

The pay range for this position is $17/hr-$29/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position. The incumbent will perform work of a lower or equivalent classification as required or directed, and work of higher classification for training and development purposes or as situationally warranted.
