Job summary

Azza HealthCare Agency is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI procedures, ensure correct patient preparation, and adhere to ALARA safety principles. The role includes data handling, image acquisition, and collaboration with licensed practitioners.

Responsibilities include monitoring image quality, assisting interventional MRI procedures, and educating staff and students on protocols and safety measures. A bachelor’s degree and certification in MRI are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified by recognized bodies such as ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT, with a graduate from a radiologic technology training program.
• New graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, technical procedures, and patient care is essential.
• A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient identification, prepare patients, and document clinical history while respecting confidentiality.
• Optimize imaging protocols and technical factors, applying ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access sites as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for accuracy and quality, verify data transfer and storage, and perform post-processing if needed.
• Assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures and participate in MRI safety and implant investigations.
• Educate and monitor healthcare providers and students.
• Select appropriate pulse sequences, considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
