Job summary

Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform advanced MRI imaging procedures, monitor patient safety and comfort, and collaborate with physicians to support accurate diagnosis. You will operate the MRI system, administer contrast media, and contribute to high-quality imaging studies across a range of examinations.

Ideal candidates have graduated from an accredited radiography or MRI program, 1–3 years of experience (new graduates considered), and ARRT MR

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or accredited MRI training program
• Minimum 1–3 years experience preferred; new graduates considered

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures under orders from a licensed practitioner.
• Prepares patients for procedures and provides comfort and safety.
• Maintains MRI safety practices and zones I–IV.
• Operates MRI system, coils, gating devices and related equipment.
• Documents all information in the EMR and reports MRI safety incidents.
• Assists with interventional procedures and physician with procedures.
• Provides instruction to students and partners.
• Evaluates images for technical quality and reconstructs data as needed.
