Northwestern Medicine is seeking an MRI Technologist in Chicago, IL to perform diagnostic MRI imaging with strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The role involves patient screening, contrast administration, protocol-driven image acquisition, and accurate documentation in EPIC/Visage.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification (or substantial alternate experience) and BLS, with a commitment to exceptional patient care within a collaborative radiology team.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification within 12 months of hire, or 10+ years of directly relevant experience in lieu of certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Mansioni

• Maintains patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality MRI images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening and monitoring.
• Operates MRI equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Maintains accurate documentation in medical records and image archive systems.
• Upholds safety standards for MRI environments and infection prevention as applicable.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
