Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking an MRI technologist for emergency relief with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends/holidays. The role requires strong skills in MR imaging, contrast administration, patient safety, and image handling to support rapid diagnostics.

Responsibilities include optimizing image quality, performing daily QC, and collaborating with radiologists. Candidates must have CAHEA/JRCERT education and ARRT MR credentials, with 2+ years of MR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA or JRCERT approved program as a Registered Technologist (R).
• ARRT MR technologist registration or ARRT with MR license and 1 year MRI experience.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and secure on MR table; select scan protocols.
• Transmit images to PACS for interpretation and record keeping.
• Administer IV and oral contrast as required; obtain informed consent.
