Job summary

Atlantic Medical Imaging Llc in Somers Point, NJ is seeking a Full-time MRI Technologist to join our outpatient radiology team. The role involves operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, coordinating with radiologists, and maintaining schedules across Egg Harbor Township and Galloway offices.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited MRI program and hold ARRT or ARMRIT MRI registration, with current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MRI program with ARRT or ARMRIT MRI registration.
• Current and valid AHA or Red Cross BLS certification prior to start of employment.
• Experience or certification in venipuncture; willing to obtain if not trained; in-house training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate all aspects of the MR scanning unit and transfer images for interpretation.
• Evaluate screening for patient safety in the magnetic field.
• Consult with Radiologist and implement scanning protocols as directed.
• Complete daily work schedule and document in Zotec or required forms.
• Monitor patient flow and accommodate unscheduled patients and add-on studies.
• Perform quality control testing, equipment calibrations, and documentation.
• Advise Chief Technologist/Office Administrator of maintenance needs.
• Participate in meetings, in-service programs, and continuing education.
• Respond to codes and policies to ensure safety for patients and staff.
• Demonstrate competency with patients across all age groups.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Level: Experienced, Job Location: Somers Point, NJ 08244, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $40.00 - $54.25 Hourly, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: 4 - 10 Hour Shifts, Job Category: Health Care, AMI is seeking a Full time, 40 hour per week MRI Technologist to join the teams in the AMI Egg Harbor Township and Galloway offices. This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient Radiology practice!

Responsibilities:

• Operating all aspects of MR scanning unit, incorporating extensive knowledge of system’s computer and all program modalities to perform scanning procedures and transfer images to film or software for interpretation;
• Evaluating screening to ensure patient safety in the magnetic field;
• Consulting with the Radiologist and implementing proper scanning protocols as directed;
• Completing daily work schedule, documenting in Zotec and on any required forms;
• Monitoring patient flow and accommodating unscheduled patients and add-on studies;
• As per office policy, performing all quality control testing, equipment calibrations, warm-up and shut down procedures with proper documentation;
• Advising the Chief Technologist/Office Administrator of the need for all maintenance, service and repair work;
• Participating in office meetings, in-service programs, continuing education programs and other designated activity;
• Responding to office codes, policies and procedures to ensure optimum patient, employee, visitor and physical plant safety and security;
• Demonstrating competency in dealing with patients in all age categories: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric; and
• Performing all other duties as required and assigned.

This full time, 40 hour per week position will provide coverage in the AMI offices in Egg Harbor Township & Galloway.

Work Schedule:

• Monday, 8:30am-7pm, Galloway
• Tuesday, 9:30am-8pm, Galloway
• Wednesday, 7am-5:30pm, Egg Harbor Township
• Thursday, Off
• Friday, 7am-5:30pm, Egg Harbor Township

Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

Qualifications:

• Candidates for this position must be a graduate of an accredited MRI program and are registered in MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or ARMRIT.
• Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to start of employment.
• Previous experience or certification in venipuncture preferred for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter. If not currently trained/certified, must be willing to obtain. In-house training will be provided.
