Job summary

Sierra View Medical Center in Porterville, CA, seeks an MRI Technologist to perform accurate MR scans under radiologist supervision. Requires on-call availability, flexibility for holidays, weeknights and weekends, and a commitment to magnet safety and patient care.

Preferred: 1 year MRI experience, ARMRIT or equivalent certification, current BLS, and IV certification within 3 months. Strong teamwork and ability to handle high-pressure situations are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year MRI experience preferred.
• ARMRIT or equivalent certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• IV certification required within 3 months of assignment to department.

Responsibilities

• Operates MR scanner and selects appropriate technical factors.
• Maintains image quality and proper sequence in Synapse PACS.
• Ensures magnet safety and screening of patients and staff.
• Assists Radiologist with IV sedation/gadolinium when needed.
• On-call duties, holidays, and weekends may be required.
• Ensures clean, organized work area and reports equipment malfunctions.
