Job summary

Geisinger in Bloomsburg, PA is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. The role requires ARRT MR certification and at least 2 years of related experience, with responsibilities including patient prep, protocol optimization, image evaluation, and data management.

The candidate will work under licensed practitioners, administer medications as allowed, and assist in MR procedures while ensuring ALARA safety and patient

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years related work experience.
• ARRT MR/Radiology certifications required.
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient and prepare exam, document clinical history and maintain confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols with ALARA principles to ensure safety and quality.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document per policy.
• Evaluate image quality and ensure proper archiving and transfer of data.
• Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
• Perform MR procedures as prescribed by licensed practitioner.
