FMOL Health in Mississippi is seeking an MRI Technologist II to arrange patients for MRI examinations and produce diagnostic images. You will monitor safety of patients and staff before entering the magnetic area and perform screenings for ferrous materials and contrast administration.

The role requires education of patients and families, adherence to department policies, and working under minimal supervision. Completion of MRI courses with ARRT MR certification and current BLS are preferred.

The MRI Tech 2 arranges patients for Magnetic resonance examinations. Produces MRI images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. MRI technologist monitors and ensures safety of patient and all personnel prior to entering magnetic area. Performs patient screening by using established protocols for any ferrous materials and medical device history and for safe administration of contrast media. Utilizes departmental policy to perform safe operation of equipment and all functions of the job. Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family. Works under minimal supervision and may perform additional job duties.

Education:
MRI courses required; (Associate's Degree or graduate of a radiologic technology program preferred)

Experience:
Sufficient previous experience to have thorough knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices and procedures preferred, along with knowledge in physiology and human anatomy and MRI experience.

Licensure:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, R.T. (MR- Magnetic Resonance Imaging) (ARRT) = R.T.(MR)(ARRT)

Certification:
Current BLS

Skills:
Must demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age, limitations and planned procedures.
