Job summary

Southeast Health in Dothan, AL, seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams with strict patient safety and confidentiality. You will operate MRI equipment, prepare patients, and coordinate with radiologists to ensure accurate, timely diagnoses in a busy hospital setting.

Excellent patient care, attention to detail, and ability to respond to emergencies are essential. Ongoing education and adherence to imaging protocols are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a radiology program with ARRT/ARDMS/NMTCB registration within 12 months of hire.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS as required.
• Demonstrate MRI expertise, safety, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations with patient care.
• Screen patients for contraindications and obtain informed consent.
• Position patients and coils for optimal imaging results.
• Operate MRI equipment and relevant software to capture images.
• Administer gadolinium-based contrast when required and monitor for reactions.
• Review images for quality and completeness for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation in EMR.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure timely diagnoses.
