We are seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures independently, utilizing technical skills and judgment to aid in diagnosis. This role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing MRI/MRA procedures with proficiency
• Calibrating equipment daily and recording results
• Selecting appropriate coils and acquisition parameters
• Reviewing physician orders with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnostics

Patient Care and Safety:

• Assessing patient conditions and explaining procedures
• Recognizing and responding to clinical or emergent issues
• Administering contrast agents safely and reviewing patient history

Equipment and Department Maintenance:

• Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Managing supplies and disinfecting equipment

Quality Control and Documentation:

• Participating in quality assurance programs
• Following sterile techniques and safety protocols
• Accurately recording procedures and verifying data in PACS/RIS

Additional Tasks:

• Recognizing emergency situations and responding appropriately
• Monitoring vital signs and medical equipment during procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed Radiology Technician (MRI) through the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners
• Radiography Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
