Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations with proficiency, using various pulse sequences and surface coils. The role emphasizes patient safety, quality imaging, and adherence to organizational values.

This 0.8 FTE position offers a day shift with weekend rotation and weekend call rotation, with compensation commensurate with experience and a $7,500 sign-on bonus. A student stipend program is available for eligible imaging students through the Career Launch

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT MR Certification eligible and must become MR registered within 2 years of hire.
• CPR certification and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology related to MRI.
• Familiarity with hospital PACS and image/sequence organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations with proficiency using various pulse sequences and surface coils.
• Maintain and operate MRI equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Ensure proper patient care with emphasis on organizational values and behavior.
• Support teamwork during day shifts with weekend rotation and on-call duties.

Student Stipend Program Eligible! Our Career Launch program allows medical imaging students to receive $1,500/month, up to six months prior to graduation and an additional $500 bonus after receiving the required licensure for the role.

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI examinations with proficiency. This is accomplished by utilizing various pulse sequences and surface coils. The MRI Technologist maintains and operates equipment in a safe and professional manner, ensures proper patient care with special emphasis on maintaining organizational values and standards of behavior.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT MR Certification eligible – (requires to become MR registered within 2 years of date of hire).
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology as it related to MRI imaging.
• Knowledge of hospital PAC’s system and associated image/sequence organization, and anatomical direction.
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task based on the situation

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT MR Certification
• Minimum two years of experience
