Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment. The MRI Technologist will ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to aseptic techniques and maintaining high standards of care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI scans on patients according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for imaging by explaining the procedure, ensuring comfort, and obtaining necessary medical history.
  • Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic evaluations.
  • Maintain patient records and document imaging results accurately in accordance with medical terminology standards.
  • Assist in maintaining the MRI suite, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with aseptic techniques.
  • Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in MRI procedures.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an MRI Technologist or similar role is preferred.

  • Familiarity with CT imaging is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in performing diagnostic evaluations using MRI equipment is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are crucial for success in this role.
