Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) is seeking a skilled MRI technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team in New Hyde Park, NY. You will maintain and calibrate MRI equipment, operate injection systems, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

We value attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. CPR certification and a state license are required, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred. NYI offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher is required.
• Current state license is required.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum of one year of continuous MRI experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and adjust imaging equipment.
• Calibrate MRI (MRA) consoles and peripheral hardware.
• Operate injectors with proficiency.
• Ensure patient safety using aseptic injection techniques and pre-screening.
• Address patient concerns during procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and review medical history.
• Properly position patients for imaging and shield exposed areas.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records.

Job Description

Location: New Hyde Park, NY

Organization: New York Imaging (NYI)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and adjust imaging equipment.
• Calibrate MRI (MRA) consoles and peripheral hardware.
• Operate injectors with proficiency.
• Ensure patient safety using aseptic injection techniques and appropriate pre-screening.
• Address patient concerns throughout the procedure.
• Flush IV lines post-contrast injection.
• Accurately follow physician orders for imaging areas.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including medical history review and answering procedural questions.
• Shield exposed areas of the body to protect the patient during imaging.
• Attach physiological monitoring leads as necessary.
• Provide headphones for patient comfort.
• Properly position patients for imaging.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
