Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Lexington is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and patient care. You will operate MRI equipment, guide patients, and maintain accurate records while ensuring safety and compliance with radiology protocols.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, MRI experience preferred, and current licensure such as MRAD:KY and RT licenses. BLS-CPR and RTMR within 12 months are expected.

Qualifications

• BLS-CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment to capture detailed images for physicians.
• Guides patients through the exam process and answers questions.
• Obtains patient histories and screening information.
• Maintains accurate records and QA checks on MRI equipment.
• Supports compliance with safety and patient safety goals.
• Participates in quality assurance programs and professional development.
• Maintains licensure and uses PPE at all times.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are offering a $25K Sign-On Bonus AND up to $24K towards Student Loan Forgiveness for our eligible hires!

As our MRI Technologist, you will play a key role in helping patients feel comfortable and cared for while providing high-quality imaging to support diagnosis and treatment. You will operate MRI equipment to capture detailed images for physicians, guide patients through the exam process, answer questions, and help ease concerns along the way. In this role, you will obtain patient histories and screening information, maintain accurate records, and help ensure the MRI equipment is functioning properly through routine quality assurance checks.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols.
• Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.
• Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.
• Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
• Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.
• Uses standard precautions, PPE, at all times.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.

Job Requirements

Required Education for Staff Job Levels

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Preferred Education or Experience

Previous experience in MRI preferred.

Required Licensure and Certifications

MRAD:KY;

RTR, or RTBD, or RTCT, or RTCV, or RTM, or RTN, or RTQM, or RTT, or RTVI, or RTVS

BLS-CPR

RTMR - within 12 months
