Job summary

Qualifications

• MRI technologist must hold SCRQSA license and ARRT certification.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong communication and patient care skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and imaging protocols.
• Conduct MRI safety screenings and verify patient identity.
• Start IVs and administer contrast when appropriate.
• Position patients and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Educate patients and ensure a comfortable imaging experience.
• Follow MRI safety standards, HIPAA requirements, and departmental procedures.
• Review imaging orders and communicate with providers when clarification is needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and imaging protocols
• Conduct MRI safety screenings and verify patient identity
• Start IVs and administer contrast when appropriate
• Position patients and produce high-quality diagnostic images

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current South Carolina state license (SCRQSA)
• ARRT Certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related imaging field
• 1+ years of MRI Technologist experience
• Interest in CT cross-training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to assist with patient positioning and transfers

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $28.27 - $50.48 per hour
