Northshore Home Health Care is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures in accordance with established standards and policies.
Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and orders, educating patients about procedures, preparing and administering contrast media, monitoring patients, calibrating equipment, and reporting findings. Strong focus on safety, quality control, and independent performance in a fast-paced setting.
Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures in accordance with standards, policies, and organizational values.
Reviews patient history and physician orders, educates patients about procedures, prepares and administers contrast media, monitors patient conditions, calibrates equipment, troubleshoots malfunctions, positions patients, performs imaging, analyzes results, and reports findings. Ensures safety standards and quality control are maintained, demonstrating critical thinking and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Must hold ARRT MR certification, be a registered radiologic technologist, and be either registered or eligible for registry with ARRT or ARMRIT. Requires graduation from an accredited radiologic technologist program, state licensure if applicable, and BLS certification. No prior experience required.
Strong critical thinking, decisiveness, minimal supervision, adaptability, and excellent patient communication skills are essential for success in this role.
