Job summary

Cape Fox Concentric Methods LLC is seeking an MRI Technologist to support the Navy Facility at Camp Pendleton, CA. The role involves operating the MRI scanner, ensuring safety protocols, and collecting high-quality imaging data for research and clinical studies.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience within the last 3 years.
  • Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Certification by ARRT or ARMRIT.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety precautions and procedures.
  • Operate the MRI control console and select imaging sequences.
  • Enter patient data and monitor data acquisition.
  • Administer contrast prior to MRI scans.
  • Operate the scanner for anatomical, functional imaging and spectroscopy studies.
  • Provide expert level information on MRI software and hardware capabilities.
  • Perform quality assurance and data archiving.
  • Train staff on scanner operation and MR safety.

Education

Job description

Cape Fox Concentric Methods LLC is accepting resumes for anMRI Technologist to support the Navy Facility at Camp Pendleton CA.

The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position is $55.93 per hour for up to 40 hours per week. This is comprised of a base hourly rate of $51.00 plus $4.93 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations. The rate represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, for eligible positions we offer a variety of benefits including specified holidays, paid leave, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Requirements:
  • 1 Year of experience within the last three (3) years.
  • Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
  • Certification byAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to safety precautions and procedures.
  • Operate the control console during scanning, including selecting proper imaging sequence.
  • Enter participant patient data at start of scanning and monitor data acquisition during scanning.
  • Administer oral intravenous contrast material prior to magnetic resonance scans.
  • Operate the control console during scanning; select proper imaging sequences; operate peripheral hardware for effective image and data acquisition.
  • Provide technical advice in cases when examination parameters chosen by the FMRIP fellow may compromise the quality of the exam.
  • Provide expert level information on the software and hardware capabilities of the MRI scanner.
  • Provide input to decide what modifications of the unit are necessary to produce optimum image spectra and most efficient use of the scanner.
  • Perform regular quality assurance procedures on the scanner, data acquisition and archiving of imaging data and recognize equipment malfunctions.
  • Execute research projects focusing on reproducibility and quality assurance of different pulse sequence and activation paradigms with the assistance of an MRI Physicist.
  • Perform post-processing steps to acquired images and data as specified by the study investigators.
  • Create, enter, and maintain research data on associated reports and spreadsheets.
  • Ensure that MR imaging, behavioral and physiological data collected are of the highest quality Collect and archive MRI data.
  • Acts as subject/patient advocate, monitoring comfort and subject cooperation with experimental protocol physiological parameters (pulse rate, respiration, oxygen saturation), and length of time of research exams.
  • Operate the scanner during both anatomical and functional imaging experiments.
  • Operate the MRI scanner doing structural and functional imaging and MR spectroscopy studies.
  • Solves MRI related technical questions by designing and performing independent technical research work.
  • Trains research staff and other staff on how to operate the scanner and MR safety issues.
