UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in northern Illinois is seeking a per diem MRI technologist to cover day/evening shifts, vacations, and call-ins. The role offers differential pay for evenings/nights/weekends, overtime, and on-call pay, with a strong benefits package including PTO and retirement.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited radiologic program and ARRT/ARMRIT certification, with MRI certification within 24 months and CPR.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience
• Experience as a hospital MRI technologist (preferred)
• 2 years of clinical experience (preferred)
• Completed an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent (required)
• Must provide HS diploma or equivalent (required)
• ARRT in Radiology or ARMRIT certification (required)
• MRI certification within 24 months (required)
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification (required)

Work Schedule

Per Diem. Day/Evening shift, Variable shifts to cover vacations and call ins. You will work at the UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital.

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
• Overtime
• On-call pay

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited radiologic technology program, ARMIRIT program, a recognized military radiologic technologist training program, or possess two years of related clinical experience in a military setting. Required
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required

Work Experience

• Previous healthcare experience. Required
• Experience as a hospital MRI technologist. Preferred
• 2 years of clinical experience. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certification by ARRT in Radiology or current ARMRIT certification. Required
• MRI certification required within 24 months of hire if going through the ARRT program Current CPR certification. Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification within 3 months of hire. Required
• ARRT certification in MRI. Preferred
