Job summary

Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. You will obtain high-quality MRI images, prepare scanners, perform QC tests, and support radiology staff during procedures, while ensuring patient care is professional and safe.

The role requires ARRT MR/R or ARMRIT within 1 year and BLS within 30 days, with a sign-on bonus up to 10k and comprehensive benefits. Join a leading acute care center with a strong emphasis on patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate is required.
• ARRT-MR or ARRT-R or ARMRIT certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality MRI images.
• Comply with safety guidelines for patients, staff and self.
• Perform necessary computer operations.
• Render patient care professionally and courteously.
• Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests.
• Provide support for radiology staff during MRI procedures.
• Review exams for technical accuracy and anatomical orientation.
• Assist in additional duties as needed.
• Establish procedures to ensure effective communication and quality.
• Train MRI staff as needed.

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality MRI images
• Complies with safety guidelines for patients, staff and self.
• Demonstrates ability to perform all necessary computer operations
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner
• Prepares MRI scanner and performs quality control tests
• Provide support for radiology nurse and/or radiologist during MRI patient procedures
• Review exams for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
• Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
