Job summary

Tower Health in Reading, PA is seeking a MR Technologist to perform MRI procedures across day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. You will prepare and administer contrast under radiologist direction and ensure high-quality, safe patient care for all ages from infant to adult.

Ideal candidates demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and imaging protocols, strong communication and teamwork, and commitment to continuing education in a fast-paced radiology department.

Qualifications

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• Post High School Diploma Program
• Relevant Experience
• BLS Certification; RT (R) OR RT (MR) OR ARMRIT

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, contrast agents, MR safety and medical terminology.
• Maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and technique.
• Performs MRI procedures according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
• Prepares and administers contrast at the direction of the radiologist in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Ensures the delivery of quality care in a safe environment for infant through adult patients.
• Remains sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner.
• Engages in continuing education to enhance patient care, public education, knowledge and technical competence while embracing lifelong learning.
• Uses independent, professional and ethical judgment, along with critical thinking in performance of duties.

• Day Shift; 8 Hr Shifts; Every 3rd weekend rotating shifts; Weekday, Weekend and Holiday Call; and Holiday Rotation
• Day Shift; 12 Hr Shifts (Thurs, Fri, Sat) 6:45AM-7:15PM; Holiday Rotation & Holiday Call
• Day Shift (Four 10s); Every 3rd weekend rotating shifts

The MR Technologist:
