Evening Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

Responsibilities:

1. Reads, understands and accurately implements physician prescriptions/orders.
2. Verifies patient names and properly identifies the procedure being performed. Thoroughly explains all procedures to patients, thus alleviating fears and/or anxiety.
3. Sets up examination room, materials, equipment including selection of appropriate equipment, syringes, catheters, and contrast media, along with power injectors. Rooms are clean and well stocked after each procedure before the next patient arrives.
4. Performs venipuncture for intravenous line establishment in the upper extremity for the purpose of administering intravenous contrast agents. Administers contrast media as directed and in accordance with departmental procedure.
5. Knowledgeable of the signs of adverse reactions to contrast media and the required procedure to follow in the event the patient experiences an adverse reaction.
6. Uses proper exposure values to obtain quality images while following department protocols.
7. Where applicable, practices sterile technique and prevents cross contamination while performing interventional procedures and assists the radiologist competently with guide wires and all products pertaining to interventional procedures performed under cat scan guidance.
8. Ensures that patient charges are properly recorded into the computer system and procedures are tracked accurately.
9. Submits images to teleradiology systems as required as the study is completed.
10. Performs and records daily safety checks as required and applicable quality control checks and procedures where required.

Schedule: Evenings with every other weekend and holidays; 4 PM - 12 AM

Salary Range: $51.339/hr - $53.547/hr
