Job summary

Five Star Nursing is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures with emphasis on patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will hold accredited radiologic credentials, ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification, and at least two years of hospital MRI experience, plus current BLS. You will work daytime shifts, collaborate with radiologists, and maintain accurate patient records in EMR/PACS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification (RT) with MRI specialization (ARRT-MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based MRI experience.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards, protocols, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of MRI procedures utilizing established protocols to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, prioritizing their comfort and safety throughout.
• Conduct thorough patient screening for MRI safety, including assessing for implants or contraindications.
• Operate MRI equipment, adjusting technical parameters to achieve optimal image quality.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
• Administer contrast media in accordance with protocols and physician instructions, ensuring safety and accuracy.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists and healthcare team members to facilitate precise diagnosis.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation within EMR/PACS systems.
• Follow all safety guidelines, infection control policies, and regulatory requirements diligently.

Shift & Schedule:

• Day shifts (5x8 hours): 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
