Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist to support high-quality diagnostic imaging in a patient-focused environment. The MRI technologist will ensure patient safety, accuracy in positioning, and comfort while performing scans according to center protocols.

Ideal candidates have MRI experience, ARRT/CPR certifications (ARMRIT accepted at some locations), and excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures and protocols to ensure patient safety.

• Administer intravenous contrast and perform scans per center protocol.
• Record data, provide films/CDs, and forward to Radiologist on completion.

These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.Administer intravenous contrast.Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.Contrast administrationWhat you need:This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of timeAssist patients with mobility difficultiesSome inpatient locations may require employee’s to participate in a call schedule/rotationTo push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five poundsAbove physical requirements can be met with or without accommodationAdditional Job Description:Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position.
