Job summary

HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge in Colorado is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnoses. Interview patients, explain the procedure and position them correctly, while maintaining scanner knowledge and safety.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, performing procedures, documenting studies, and contributing to training of new staff. Required ARRT MR registry, BLS, and accredited Radiologic Technology degree; 1 year MRI experience

Qualifications

• Currently registered as an MRI Technologist (ARRT MR registry).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course.
• Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• One year of experience in an MRI Imaging Department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position and prepare patients for exams according to the type of procedure.
• Perform procedures and assess patients throughout and respond to patient needs.
• Complete documentation for each study performed.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of scanners and exam protocols.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a technologist, you are asked tooperateMRI scanners and to ensure that the procedure produces quality images and information for the health care professional to makean accuratediagnosis. Utilize your medical knowledge by interviewing patients, explaining theprocedureand placing the patient in theappropriate spoton the table. Technologists are also organized, detail-oriented people who are familiar with the anatomical area that is being scanned and the patient’s history.A few responsibilities of our MRITechnologist include:

• You will position and prepare patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed
• You will be performing procedures and assessingpatients throughout and respondingtothepatient’sneeds as appropriate
• You will completeappropriate documentationfor each study performed
• You will use professional discernment and critical thinking when performing procedures
• You willparticipatein orientation and training ofnew staffmembers andteachstudents during their clinical rotations
• You willmaintainthorough knowledge of scanners and exam protocolsin order toensure the highest quality procedures

What qualifications you will need:

• Currently registered as an MRI Technologist (ARRT MR registry)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy
• CurrentregistrybytheAmericanRegistryofRadiologicTechnologists
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• One year of experience in an MRI Imaging Department preferred

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists, or Associate Degree
