Qualifications

Overview

CHI Health St. Elizabeth, founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in 1889, is a full-service 260-bed nonprofit regional medical center in Lincoln, Neb. St. Elizabeth specializes in the treatment areas of newborn and pediatric care, women’s health, burn and wound, cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine, orthopedics, and neuroscience.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  1. Proper assessment of the patient and their abilities to participate in ordered procedure.
  2. Selection of the proper equipment, setting correct technical factors, procedure protocols, and gathering proper supplies prior to the performance of the procedure.
  3. Obtains clear and complete history from the patient and/or patient record and records that data into patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.
  4. Is able to perform quality assessment of images obtained and is able to evaluate equipment issues and report assessment to supervisor, manager, or director.
  5. Ensures all equipment is in working order at the beginning of the day and prior to starting of a procedure.
  6. Is responsible to participate in and have a good understanding of all department, campus, and system quality improvement projects, the ACR accreditation process, Radiation Safety, ALARA, MQSA, and State Regulations as they apply to staff's license or certifications.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 1 - 2 years of MRI experience.

Education

  1. Graduate of a Radiologic Technology, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine Program.

License and Certifications

  1. Board certified in ARRT, NMTCB, ABNM, or ARDMS.
  2. RT (ARRT) (R).
  3. ARRT Board Certified in MR within 1 year of hire.
  4. BLS from the American Heart Association required upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Understands methods and is capable of performing venipuncture as required for position.
  2. Demonstrated ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashion.
  3. Must be self-motivated and able to take ownership of projects/assignments.
  4. Must be a team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills.
  6. Interpersonal skills in dealing with guests and team members.

Pay Range

$30.47 - $44.19 /hour
