Job summary

RadNet in Florida is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams and ensure patient safety throughout the imaging process. You will administer contrast when needed and finely adjust imaging parameters to obtain optimal results, while guiding patients with clear explanations and compassionate communication.

The role requires ARRT MR certification (or ARMRIT), a state license if applicable, BLS, and venipuncture certification where required, with at least one year of diagnostic

Qualifications

• ARRT MR certification or ARMRIT
• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
• BLS certification required
• Venipuncture certificate may be required
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Adjust TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness and FOV to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through the exam process and address questions and concerns.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient and on-site information and medications.
• Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.

You Will

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
• Must have BLS certification
• A venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!

Pay Range is $35-$50 per hour.
