Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced radiology setting. You will guide patients through the procedure, respond to physician questions, and uphold patient privacy and on-site policies.

Required credentials include ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT, state license where applicable, and BLS; a venipuncture certificate may be required. About one year of imaging experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• Venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use MRI parameters (TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view) to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through the exam process with clear, compassionate communication.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient health information and on-site property.
• Adhere to policy for medications and patient portals.

You Will:

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable

• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!

Pay Range:

$25.00 – $40.00 per hour
