Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and produce diagnostic images for patient care. You will accurately position patients, select parameters, and ensure high-quality image submissions to PACS.

The role requires completing an MRI or Radiology Technology program, BLS certification, and ARMRIT/ARRT credentials within 12 months. Day shift; no prior experience required; candidates must be able to stand, lift, and communicate effectively in a busy imaging

Qualifications

• Completion of MRI or Radiology Technology program.
• Credential from ARMRIT or ARRT within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
• No prior experience required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients, with frequent use of vision, hearing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and positioning patients accurately, selecting appropriate technical parameters.
• Performing patient pre-screening, education, and scheduling.
• Entering data, transferring images, and ensuring high-quality submissions to PACS.
• Administering contrast media and medications within scope and regulations.
• Maintaining equipment functionality and reporting malfunctions.
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized department environment.
• Supporting departmental operations and performing additional duties as assigned.
