Job summary

Mercy is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and software, acquiring high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

You will collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to provide accurate imaging and timely results, following all safety protocols and professional standards in a fast-paced hospital setting. Education from an accredited Imaging Program and ARRT eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program and completed required clinical hours.
• Experience: no experience required
• Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
• Certification/Registration: ARRT registry OR Registry eligible (Achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility); BLS within 30 days of hire

• Ability to communicate and work effectively within a healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
