Qualifications

Schedule

Full-time with variable morning & afternoon shifts, including rotating weekends & on-call holiday coverage plus rotates between the hospital & outpatient center.

Radiology/Imaging Services unit provides high‑quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services, including X‑rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging techniques to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. Patient care, comfort, safety and adherence to imaging protocols are paramount while collaborating with healthcare professionals, quality control, and adoption of new technologies.

How you’ll contribute
  • Maintain a respectful demeanor for patients, families, colleagues, and physicians.
  • Complete annual MRI safety training.
  • Position, transfer and immobilize patients as required, performing MRI safety screening procedures before entering the scan room, including screening for metal objects, previous metal work, and surgeries that impact scanning.
  • Prepare patients for injections (starting heplocks) and inject them with butterfly needles.
  • Perform daily and weekly QA on the MRI unit.
  • Execute MRI scanning procedures.
  • Film, reconstruct, and post‑process MRA images.
  • Maintain professional skills and provide age‑specific care to all patients, from neonates to geriatrics.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines, reporting unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Consistently and appropriately follow Universal Precautions.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should be a graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology. Additional requirements:

  • 1 year of hospital medical imaging experience.
  • 1 year of MRI experience.
  • Completion of the ARRT or ARMRIT required education (preferred).
  • ARRT RT (MR) or ARRT RT(R) and MRI Board Certified within 1 year of hire.
  • BLS Certification.
  • ARRT MRI Board Certification.
