Job Description:

The MRI technologist is responsible for compassionate and appropriate patient care while performing MRI examinations under the direction of a physician to assist in the medical diagnosis or treatment of injury.

Posting Specifics:

Shift Details: Full-time (40 hours), Variable Days, Call

Unit/Location: St. Mary’s Regional Hospital

Minimum Qualifications MRI Tech II ($41.22-63.59/hr):

1. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
2. Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
3. IV Certification
4. Demonstrate proficiency in three of the following MRI procedures: intra-operative, cardiac, functional, breast, prostate, rectal cancer staging, advanced 3D spectroscopy, MR lymphangiography, or pediatric MRI (less than 15 years of age) as 80% of patient workload.
5. Must complete at least five cases per specialty procedure with documented skills pass off by a lead MRI technologist or coordinator.

Preferred Qualifications MRI Tech II:

1. Three years of experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
2. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Minimum Qualifications MRI Tech I ($37.46-57.80/hr):

1. Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or one year minimum related experience and/or training, required
2. Current ARRT (R) (MR) or NMTCB registry, required
3. Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required
4. Ability to interact with people of all ages, required

Preferred Qualifications MRI Tech I:

1. At least one (1) year of experience as a MRI Technologist, preferred
