Job description

Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist position is responsible for knowing his/her professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code and for satisfactorily completing the Dignity Health Medical Foundation orientation period. This includes demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance. MRI Technologists maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment and perform patient care services supporting the physician/provider's practice under supervision. Responsibilities include prepping patients for MRI exams, relaying instructions from radiologists, collecting patient data, documenting concerns and messages, and performing diagnostic medical imaging. May be required to work in other modalities with appropriate licensure and occasionally at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent program.
• RTR or RTMR; BLS-CPR certification.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiology equipment operation, and radiation safety is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of MRI experience preferred; six months outpatient experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic practice management systems, and PACS is preferred.
