Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Multimodality Technologist to operate MRI scanners and cross-train into CT or C-arm. The role involves patient-centered imaging with attention to safety and accurate RIS documentation.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with some early shifts and weekend rotation. A sign-on or relocation bonus is available, with opportunities for part-time 0.8–0.9 FTE and benefits as eligible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of AMA approved radiography program.
• ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in applicable state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$49.06 based on direct and relevant experience.

There is a $5,000 relocation or sign on bonus for this role! RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Multimodality Technologist to join our team. This is an exciting role that will work in MRI as well as cross-train into C-arm or CT. As an MRI/CT or MRI/Carm Technologist you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient’s body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday typically from 8:00am-4:30 with occasional 6:30am-3:00pm shifts; includes weekend rotation. This position has the option to work part-time (30-39 hrs/week benefit eligible) as a 0.8 or 0.9 FTE status for more work/life balance. Willing to train!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
