Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Minnesota is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join our team. You will operate three MRI platforms to produce diagnostic images and deliver patient-centered care within professional standards.

Shifts are 6:30am–10:00pm, Monday–Friday with Saturday rotation; three 12-hour shifts may be available for better work-life balance. A $5,000 relocation or sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on state regulations.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must competently perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients before MRI exams to ensure safety and correct identity.
• Explain procedures and position patients for accurate scans.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed.
• Follow physician orders, maintain RIS records, and ensure safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and sanitize equipment.
• Maintain MRI equipment and disinfect after use.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation compliance.
• Assist with updated imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
• Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed.
• Assist in training new team members.

There is a $5,000 relocation or sign on bonus for this role! The pay range for this position is $30.00-$50.00 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologistto join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you'll have the opportunity to work on three MRI platforms to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.This is a full-time position working various shifts between the hours of 6:30am-10:00pm Monday-Friday (no call and willing to train); includes Saturday rotation (day shift). This position has the opportunity to work three 12-hour shifts, typically 8:00am-8:00pm, for more work/life balance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians’ orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
