Job summary

RadNet is seeking an MRI technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams on incoming patients at our Maryland imaging centers. The role emphasizes patient safety, contrast administration, and precise parameter adjustments to produce high-quality images.

The candidate should have ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, state licensure if required, and BLS. A venipuncture certificate may be needed by state rules. Minimum one year of imaging experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
  • State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable.
  • Must have BLS certification.
  • A venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
  • At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

  • Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
  • Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
  • Understand and use TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments to produce high quality images.
  • Guide patients through the exam process and answer questions and concerns regarding procedures.

Job description

Schedule

Monday‑Friday 12:30–9:00 pm or Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 10:30 am–9:00 pm. A $5 shift differential applies after 5 pm.

Responsibilities

Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients, assure patient safety, administer contrast, adjust imaging parameters, guide patients, respond to physician needs, safeguard patient information, handle medications, maintain professional behavior, respect boundaries, and foster cooperative relationships.

You Will
  • Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
  • Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
  • Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
  • Understand and use TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes‑difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any on‑site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Compensation

Pay Range: $37.00 – $45.00 per Hour.
