Job summary

RadNet is hiring an MRI Technologist in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will perform high-quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and guide patients effectively throughout their experience. Candidates should possess ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification and a state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable. The position offers a competitive pay range of $28.28–$42.42 per hour, along with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus additional benefits for your family.

This position receives a shift differential of $6.50/hour for hours worked after 5:00pm.

You Will

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes‑difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on‑site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
• Must have BLS certification
• A venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!
