Qualifications

Description

This position is responsible for MRI technologist duties. Responsibilities include performing MRI procedures, (setting up, scanning and filming). The position also is responsible for communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients and their families, and other persons. Additional responsibilities include performing quality control and reporting tasks, maintaining day-to-day schedules, assisting radiologist, handling medication within scope of license, starting IV's and contributing to the efficient operation of the department assuring the quality and continuity of patient care. Is Responsible for taking call.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a radiographic program approved by the JCERT, the American Registry of Radiological Technologists or the American College of Radiology.

  • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

  • Within 1 year of hire National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging Or

  • Within 1 year of hire National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year Experience in all areas of diagnostic x-ray.

  • Hospital experience.

  • 2 years Sub-specialty MRI.
