Job description

The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans using a magnetic field and radio waves to produce images of the body's interior. These scans aid in diagnosing conditions affecting soft tissues, such as tumors or brain disorders. The role involves accurate image acquisition and collaboration with the medical team to provide comprehensive diagnostic information.

Responsibilities include:

1. Operating high field strength MRI equipment and related devices to produce specialized radiographic images of specific body parts.
2. Reviewing patient medical histories to determine appropriate imaging parameters for accurate results.
3. Maintaining and operating MRI equipment safely, conducting regular checks to ensure optimal performance.
4. Collaborating with healthcare professionals during MRI procedures to ensure proper positioning and image quality.
5. Documenting all scans and related information in CHL and PACS systems, verifying charges, and resolving discrepancies.
6. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduation from a Radiology, Imaging, or related program.
