Job Overview

The Medical Resonance Imaging Technologist plays a vital role in patient care by performing MRI scans.1 This position is suited for a professional dedicated to providing high-quality imaging services within a collaborative healthcare environment. The role contributes to patient safety and quality of care, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.2

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.3
  • Providing direct patient care within the scope of practice.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Precepting and mentoring new team members to ensure proficiency.
  • Adapting to a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment and embracing new knowledge.
  • Contributing to maintaining high standards of safety and quality at the point of care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Registered as a Technologist (RT) and registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or registry eligible with completion of registry within 12 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Radiography) or by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • State licensure if required by law.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card in-hand before the start date. BLS or CPR card must be valid through sixty days of hire.4
