Job summary

WorkWave Staff is looking for an experienced MRI Technologist in Brattleboro, Vermont. Under limited supervision, you will perform MRI procedures and provide services in diagnostic radiology and related quality control.

The ideal candidate must have graduated from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology and hold current ARRT and MRI Registries. CPR Certification is also required. This role offers the opportunity to work with patients of all ages in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Formal education from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Previous experience in MRI in a hospital setting.
• Valid ARRT and MRI Registries.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Able to obtain Venipuncture Certification within 3 months of hire.
• At least two recent supervisory references.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Radiology and the Medical Director, the MRI Technologist is responsible for performing duties directly involving a variety of technical procedures applying to Magnetic Resonance Imaging. This position works at a technical level under limited supervision, independently performing MRI procedures. Procedures performed require independent judgment and initiative as well as a comprehensive understanding of MRI safety.

Provide services in the following categories: diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computed tomography, interventional radiography, MRI, bone density and mammography. The department offers services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to inpatients, outpatients and emergency room patients of all ages. Whereas x-ray procedures constitute the majority of our service, we also provide related quality control (including protecting patients and staff from harmful radiation), quality assurance monitoring and evaluation, marketing and continuing education of staff and patients. Radiology is comprises of licensed technologists, certified and licensed nuclear medicine technologists, secretarial staff and licensed radiologists.
