Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing all aspects of MR imaging accurately and in accordance with established procedures and policies, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases across all patient groups. The role requires following all regulatory guidelines and MRI safety precautions. Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in departmental expectations and professional organizations. Contributes to total patient care by accessing pertinent patient information, processing images, ensuring correct images, accurate billing, and documenting files. Records exam information into the department's computer system. Performs additional activities to support clinical team members when not engaged in imaging activities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) certification required.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology Program or MRI course.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.
