Job summary

Envision Imaging in Arlington, TX seeks an MRI Technologist to join our team. The role features a Mon-Fri schedule from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM and a pay range of $37.51-$48.35 per hour. A $10,000 sign‑on bonus is offered to eligible hires.

The MRI Technologist will perform MRI procedures, prepare patients, review charts, and coordinate with Radiologists while maintaining equipment and safety standards in a clinical outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Two plus years MRI experience preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures per protocol and patient needs.
• Prepare patients, ensure safety, and monitor environment.
• Review charts and obtain needed consent/information.
• Obtain prior films and deliver high-quality scans to Radiologist.
• Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologist and transfer images as needed.
• Maintain and inspect equipment and report issues promptly.
• Communicate with Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager about concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Envision Imaging is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team in Arlington, TX.

Monday - Friday 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM + rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM | Position Pay Range: $37.51 - $48.35. $10,000 sign‑on bonus to eligible hires.

Summary/Objective

Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age‑specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Essential Functions

• 1. Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• 2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• 3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• 4. Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• 5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• 6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• 7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• 8. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• 9. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

• Two plus years' experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
• Detail oriented, self‑motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
• Ability to excel in a very fast‑pace team environment
• Ability to continuously "exceed" company and customer expectation
• Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
