North Alabama Medical Center, Radiology, is seeking an MRI Technician for a full-time mid-shift role in Florence, AL. You will operate the MRI scanner, educate patients, and administer contrast media as needed. The position requires ARRT MR registry within 1 year of hire and an ARRT/JRCERT/ARMRIT/NMTCB accredited program.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an ARRT/JRCERT/ARMRIT/NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT MR registry required within 1 year of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanner to obtain images for physician use.
• Review patient history and physician orders.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment and exams.
• Prepare and administer contrast media within scope of practice.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes as appropriate.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select imaging parameters and ensure QC.
