Job summary

St. Joseph Hospital Services of Rhode Island is seeking a Staff MRI Technologist to join our imaging team in Rhode Island.

Under the direction of the Lead MRI Technologist and radiologists, you will perform MRI procedures, produce high-quality images, and support accurate interpretation.

Candidates must have a high school diploma with formal radiologic technology training, ARRT MRI certification, RI license, CPR certification, and at least one year of MRI experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus satisfactory completion of formal training in Radiological Technology.
• ARRT MRI certification is required and licensure by the State of Rhode Island is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures under the direction of the Lead MRI Technologist and radiologists.
• Obtain high-quality images for interpretation by a radiologist.
• Demonstrate clinical competency per specialty and developmental level.

Summary: Under the direction of the Lead MRI Technologist and the radiologists, the Staff MRI technologist performs a variety of technical procedures applying a prescribed magnetic field to obtain high quality images for interpretation by a radiologist. Fulfills responsibilities as an employee of St. Joseph Hospital Services of Rhode Island. Demonstrates clinical expertise/competencies per specialty and/or developmental level.

Education: High school diploma plus satisfactory completion of formal training in an approved school of Radiological Technology. Must be ARRT certified and licensed by the State of Rhode Island.

Licensure: ARRT with Registry in MRI. CPR Certification required.

Experience: One year experience in MRI.
