A career as a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologist is exciting for those who are passionate about health care, patient comfort, and saving lives. As a technologist, you will operate MRI scanners to produce quality images and information for accurate diagnoses. You will work directly with patients, ensuring their comfort and explaining procedures, while utilizing your medical knowledge to interview patients and position them correctly. Technologists are organized, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about anatomy and patient history, developing relationships with patients to aid in diagnosing their conditions.

A Brief Overview

Performs MRI scans under physician protocol, providing compassionate, age-specific care to patients from neonates to geriatrics.

What You Will Do

• Perform MRI scans as directed by radiologists.
• Provide patient care during visits to the MRI department.
• Answer phones and schedule in-patient requests.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Maintain technical skills and knowledge.
